The new 2019 Maserati Quattroporte is a five-passenger sedan with all the style and panache you would expect from Maserati. It will be offered in three trims: S, S Q4, and GTS. The S and S Q4 trims use a 3.0-liter V-6 engine developing 424 horsepower. The GTS packs a punch with its 3.8 liter V-8 offering 523 horsepower. Both engines are built by Ferrari in Maranello Italy. The S and GTS are rear-wheel drive while the Q4 is all-wheel drive.
Each model trim is offered in one of two treatments, the luxurious GranLusso or the more dynamic GranSport. The base S Quattroporte comes with heated front seats, a 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment interface running Maserati’s Touch Control Plus system with navigation. GranLusso adds ventilation to the front seats, and a leather and wood steering wheel, and silk inserts for the seats, door panels, and other miscellaneous treatments. GranSport adds a leather sport steering wheel, aluminum paddle shifters, and 12-way power seats. Both of the treatments also use 20-inch alloy wheels and distinctive paint treatment on the brake calipers.
The 2019 Quattroporte comes with standard adaptive LED headlights, high beam assist, and blind spot alert. The GranLusso and GranSport treatments add forward collision warning, active blind spot monitoring, lane keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
Early reviews of the 2019 Quattroporte show a race-bred sports performance luxury vehicle with excellent driving dynamics and powerful twin-turbo engines for an exciting drive. Its interior has been referred to as “decadent” which is very much in keeping with Maserati’s Italian luxury heritage.
